Mother Faces DUI Charges in Massachusetts After Crash Leaves 8-Year-Old Daughter in Critical Condition

FOXBORO – In a troubling incident that occurred on February 22 on Route 140 in Foxboro, a 40-year-old mother named Jenna Wilson has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following a head-on collision with an ambulance which resulted in severe injuries to her 8-year-old daughter. The child, who was seated in the backseat of Wilson’s Honda Pilot at the time of the accident, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Boston for urgent care.

Alongside the DUI charge, Wilson is facing accusations of child endangerment while under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, violation of marked lanes, and reckless endangerment of a child. The crash involved Wilson’s vehicle veering from the southbound lane into oncoming traffic, directly impacting the ambulance and inflicting injury on others, including the EMTs onboard and the patient they were transporting, all of whom required hospital treatment.

The court was informed during Wilson’s arraignment that prior to the accident, she had spent time at Patriot Place with her children where they went bowling and had dinner. Wilson reportedly consumed two espresso martinis and could not recall if she had ingested more alcohol thereafter. After dropping her two sons off with their father, she departed with her daughter, eventually leading up to the tragic events on Route 140.
