Springfield Collision Leaves Three Hospitalized

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – On the morning of Tuesday, Springfield emergency services were dispatched to a vehicular collision that occurred on Boston Road near Tavistock Street. At approximately 8:50 a.m., two vehicles were involved in an accident that resulted in injuries for three individuals.
Law enforcement officials and first responders arrived on the scene to find that one of the drivers had been ejected from her car due to the impact of the crash. The woman suffered severe injuries and was transported to Baystate Medical Center. Currently, she is reported to be in stable condition with expectations of recovery.
The vehicle’s passenger and the driver of the second car involved in the incident were also taken to the hospital. Both of them sustained minor injuries and are being treated accordingly. Preliminary reports do not reveal the cause of the collision, but the investigation is ongoing.
The Springfield Police Traffic Unit has taken charge of the investigation, working diligently to determine the factors that led to this unfortunate event.
