Driver Rescued from Major Vehicle Accident on Dracut Property

In Dracut, Massachusetts, at the Lowell line, a serious car crash on Friday, March 8, 2024, resulted in a driver being trapped inside their vehicle. The incident occurred shortly after noon, prompting a swift response from local emergency services.
The accident happened at approximately 12:23 p.m. on Hildreth Street. Eyewitness video captured the aftermath, displaying a severely damaged green Ford Mustang in the front yard of a residence, where it came to a halt following the collision. The car sustained heavy damage, indicative of the force with which the incident occurred.
According to the Dracut police and fire departments, firefighters from both Dracut and Lowell were dispatched to the scene. They worked collaboratively to extricate the trapped driver from the crumpled car.
Once freed, the victim was immediately transported to a hospital in Lowell for initial treatment. Given the severity of the injuries sustained, the driver was subsequently transferred to a specialized trauma center in Boston. The current medical status of the driver has not been disclosed to the public at this time.
