High-Speed Collision near Lowell-Dracut Border Results in Trauma Center Transport

In Dracut, at the intersection of Hildreth and Lowell streets, a driver was rushed to a nearby trauma center following a harrowing high-speed crash on Friday afternoon. The incident left behind a swath of destruction that included a damaged utility pole, shattered tree, and debris from the vehicle across Hildreth Street.
The accident involved a neon-green Ford Mustang Boss 302, which ended up in a residential yard after careening through a fence at 430 Hildreth Street in Lowell. Debris from the sports car littered the street, with components such as tires, rims, and its rear bumper scattered in the car’s destructive path.
Local resident Marvellous Foster-Efose witnessed the aftermath of the crash after hearing the loud impact. A passerby ran to the incident, offering aid to the injured driver, who was visibly shaken and bleeding. Foster-Efose immediately contacted emergency services, while the good Samaritan provided comfort to the distressed victim.
First responders from both Dracut and Lowell fire departments arrived swiftly, utilizing their equipment to extricate the driver from the wreckage. Dracut Police confirmed that the sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to Lowell General Hospital and subsequently moved to a trauma center in Boston for further treatment.
Foster-Efose expressed relief that the incident did not result in a fatality. He commended the emergency teams for their prompt action.
