Car accident in Boston

CONCORD, NH — A series of tragic incidents, including deadly fires and major traffic accidents, have struck New Hampshire, leading to a somber week across the state that has seen substantial loss of life and property.

In the span of just a week, four individuals perished in fire-related incidents that occurred in Concord, Manchester, Pelham, and Nashua. The New Hampshire Fire Marshal’s Office is thoroughly investigating nine significant fire events, among which are major fires in Lincoln and Plymouth that caused numerous people to become homeless.

Fire Marshal Sean Toomey remarked on the unusual level of activity, noting that his six years in the office have not seen a week quite as demanding. Toomey stated that while the fires are still subject to ongoing investigations, initial assessments suggest no connections, each arising from distinct circumstances.

Tragic roadway events have also taken a toll, with several serious accidents reported by the state’s emergency services. In Nashua, a vehicle turnover on Amherst Street resulted in the death of a passenger, leaving the driver with critical injuries. On Route 101 in Candia, a similar collision occurred causing severe injuries that necessitated an airlift by Boston MedFlight and additional ambulance transport to Manchester Hospitals.
