Car accident in Boston

HOOKSETT, NH – A devastating car accident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, May 1, 2024, on Interstate 93 North near Hooksett, resulting in serious injuries to a 23-year-old man. New Hampshire State Police arrived at the scene around 7:48 p.m., near mile marker 24, to find that a rollover crash had ejected the driver from his vehicle.

The investigation revealed that a 2000 Toyota Corolla had veered off the right side of the highway, tumbling multiple times, and ultimately colliding with a tree where it came to a halt. During the course of the accident, the driver, Kristian M. Whittum of Hooksett, was forcefully expelled from the car.

Whittum was promptly transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester to receive medical attention for the injuries he sustained.

Authorities were forced to shut down multiple northbound lanes of I-93 as they managed the aftermath of the incident, with lanes reopening by approximately 10:30 p.m.

The New Hampshire State Police have called for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to aid the ongoing investigation to come forward.
