Woman Arrested for Ramming Fenway Park Gate Following Tunnel and Coast Guard Base Collisions

A sequence of vehicular incidents involving a 48-year-old woman culminated in her crashing through the gate of Fenway Park on Monday morning, according to authorities. The chain of events began in Boston’s Ted Williams Tunnel and spanned to the city’s United States Coast Guard base before ending at the iconic baseball park.
Massachusetts State Police received a report around 7 a.m. from a motorist who encountered the suspect’s erratic and aggressive driving near Ocean Avenue and Revere Street in Revere. State Police located the vehicle, a 2024 Honda Accord, and observed the driver’s unruly behavior but did not engage in a pursuit due to safety concerns related to the densely populated area.
Approximately 30 minutes later, the same driver, later identified as Colleen Marie Gibbs of Salem, was involved in collisions with two vehicles at the entrance to the Ted Williams Tunnel. Both motorists involved in these minor wrecks reportedly did not sustain injuries.
Gibbs’s erratic journey continued onto the premises of the USGC base on Hanover Street in the North End, where she crashed her vehicle. She then proceeded to Fenway Park, where she forcibly entered through Gate 3 on Lansdowne Street, striking a forklift driver in the process.
